Let me introduce you to this guy, Jonathan Riss- belgium designer. His dresses are just bananas! His label Jay Ahr, english phonetic for his initials, just opened a store in NY, 801 madison avenue! The price might be a bit expensive but your sure you're look the best, the cheapest dress is around 2000$ and the customed ones are around 4000$! I admire him for his career... he is living the life i would love to have! Mr JR, a world traveller, took advantages of every opportunity he had and made it to the top at only 32 years old! He started at the age of 23 to manage a friend's fabric mill in ukraine. After one year he got tired of it and left to Mumbai (slumdog millionaire environment!)where some friends worked in the diamond industry. There he worked in the cashmere industry and imported cashemere wraps, but diamonds seemed to attract him and he decided to leave for Angola to buy diamonds. Later on he won the Diamond International award for De Beers!!! He came back to Paris and decided to use all the know-how he acquired thanks to all the encounter he 's made around the world, to create dresses! He loved the idea of women wearing dresses every day! I'm in love! What a career with no diplomas except jewlery making! He also launched a jewlery line! Look at the SS09 colllection..and you'll die!

Jonathan Riss, d'origine belge, se cache sous Jay Ahr -ses  initiales en phonétique anglaise-  rue Saint honoré à coté de chez Colette.  L'histoire de ce jeune homme de 32 ans est passionnante. Aventurier de nature, il commence à gérer l'usine de coton d'un ami en ukraine. Apres deux ans, il en a marre et pars rejoindre des amis à bombay dans le business de diamants. Il importera des châles en cachemire pendant cette période et découvrira la broderie et les diamants, pour se rendre ensuite en Angola pour en acheter! Il gagne le diamond International award pour de Beers, et rentre à Paris. De là il décide d'ouvrir une boutique à Paris et de créer des robes de soirées en affirmant ses talents et ses nombreux savoir-faire. Et en 2007 née sa première collection. Parcours fantastique... qui donne lieu à cette collection SS09 éblouissante!

I'm sorry international ppl its in french!!But here is a sum-up of what he explains! Well he is inviting a team of journalist to present his SSO9 collection in NY in his private salon! He explains that his customers come in and out to try out dresses, so its very much like going home and to fittings! he brings here in NY a collection almost every month for his customers. Then He explains the designs of his salon that is very much like versailles inside! People say its like stepping back in time to the days of Dior and his montaigne avenue salon! He also invite people in his salon and if you get a chance to get invited you'll eat the best french wines and the best french food!
